How You Can Help
Find your role
Youth Mentor
Walk alongside vulnerable young people ages 18–21 who need a steady, supportive presence in their lives. Mentors provide guidance, encouragement, and consistency — whether a youth is navigating legal challenges, housing instability, trauma, or simply needs someone in their corner. You don't have to have all the answers; showing up reliably and with genuine care is often the most powerful thing a mentor can offer. No prior experience required — just a commitment to showing up.
Legal Advocate
Support survivors through court proceedings, safety planning, and navigating complex legal processes. Legal Advocates work closely alongside NARAQUAN's licensed attorney — helping prepare for hearings, organizing case materials, conducting research, and ensuring clients feel informed and supported every step of the way. You'll also help clients understand their rights, assist with paperwork, and provide a compassionate, steady presence during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Legal background helpful but not required.
Community Educator
Lead prevention workshops in schools, faith communities, and neighborhoods. Help us spread awareness and break cycles of violence before they start. Community Educators play a vital role in shifting culture — facilitating conversations about healthy relationships, personal boundaries, and the warning signs of abuse. You don't need to be an expert; you need to be willing to show up, listen, and speak truth in spaces where it matters most.
